The cabin was amazing the only downfall I had was the up hill driveway it tore off my front bumper coming out I was driving a Nissan altima so I do suggest something that's not so low to the ground but overall the cabin was clean and very satisfying to our liking the down stairs was nice with the game room and the large living room it's definitely a must rental cabin I promise you will not be disappointed!!!!!

Our Family of 7 spent 3 nights at A Peaceful Haven. The location is fairly close to the Island in Pigeon Forge, mostly country roads.
The cabin was very clean and comfortable.AC worked great, The porch was a perfect place to relax in the evenings, We couldn't see the mountain ranges from the porch due to the tall trees... kinda of a bummer, but still nice and peaceful.
The beds were very comfortable, and there are ceiling fans in the rooms
The negatives are..... the well water had a very obvious sulfur smell. it kinda got better with use, but was still stinky.
The driveway was very steep where it meet the road, the car, a Ford Fusion would drag the rear bumper every time, the Toyota Highlander SUV would drag the rear bumper slightly unless going in and out at an angle.... So low cars like Mustangs, Camaros, Sports car would really struggle with ground clearance.
We never could get the TV in the family room to change channels, it would come on to a menu, that was it, another tv had issues also. The basement TV and the TV outside in the shelter worked fine. The internet worked fine
It's a beautiful cabin, nice floor plan, fairly new and well equipped . But I believe I will look for a different place next time.
We go to the Smokies a couple times a year and have stayed in multiple cabins over the years, If they had a water filtration system to reduce the sulfur smell, get the all tv's working correctly and if I had a taller 4X4.. I would give it a very high rating

Peaceful Haven lived up to its name. We're from Nashville and were just in town for a whirlwind weekend. Got in late Friday night and left by check out at 11 am on Sunday.

The door code we were given did not work. Called and got someone quickly who was responsive. After trying 3 or 4 configurations, we finally found one that worked. It wasn't a huge deal but we were tired and standing out on the porch at 9 pm futzing with the door.

All of the reviews seemed to mention the steep angle of the driveway coming in from the street and this is not exaggerated. We took it super slowly and came and went at an angle so as to not damage our car but we did leave quite a bit of our tires on the driveway as you lose all momentum taking it easy coming in and then have to gun it to get up the incline. Once you're up there, there is a generous parking pad located right in front of the cabin at the front porch so it's super convenient loading and unloading the car.

There's a large hot tub on the lower deck but we unfortunately just didn't have time to enjoy it. There's an open end of the deck down there that I didn't love as a bear or drifter could just walk right up. I'm not sure why the deck isn't enclosed all the way. Just an observation.

The upper deck had decent views, several rocking chairs, a couple of side tables and a lovely swing bed. Even with temps in the high 80s/low 90s and humidity hanging around 90%, it was a perfect spot for morning coffee.

The lower level features a 3rd bedroom/bath, a half bath, a small kitchen area, a large sectional sofa, bunk beds, TV. a seated arcade style game (with games like PacMan and Centipede), a pool table, and an air hockey table. Though nice features, they were all in need of a little upkeep. The arcade game worked once and then we couldn't get another game to come up. The pool table's cue sticks needed their felt replaced. As did the air hockey paddles. And of the 3 or 4 available air hockey pucks, only one seemed to "float" and operate normally. But still a fun space to hang out.

Both bedrooms upstairs were generously sized king beds, with comfy mattresses and pillows. A previous review stated there were not enough blankets and we did not encounter this problem.

Bathrooms were nicely sized and the two showers on main level were walk in and even fit the 6'4" person in our group. They provide TP, towels of course, and a few little slivers of bar soap, but they do not provide little hotel shampoo so remember to bring your own.

The kitchen was well-appointed and had everything we needed. Again, we weren't there long but everything was clean, new, and served our needs. There were 2 coffee makers: one 12-cup and the other was a carafe/k-cup combo. The former had a carafe but the lid was broken so you had to figure out how to make it work. The combo one did not have a carafe that we found so we didn't use it. You will need to bring your own coffee, filters, k-cups, and cream/sugar if you need it. They do provide a few dishwasher tabs and dish liquid.

Living room was comfy with a char, love seat and sofa, but we commented that it would have been nice if some of that was a recliner or that it would have been comfier with a few ottomans. As it was, it felt like we were sitting in a doctor's waiting room while we watched TV.

The cabin was easy to find, conveniently located to the Pigeon Forge strip, and enough to feel "off the beaten path" but not a haul back into town. The location was perfect.

Finally, this cabin features something we've never seen in all of our many visits to the area and with other cabin rentals and that is a lovely, separate outdoor sitting area, covered, with seating, fireplace, and tv. Sadly, didn't have time to enjoy that and it was a bit warm for a fire but what a bonus feature!

Funny observations: these cabins get built so fast and sometimes attention to detail gets lost. Every faucet seemed misaligned and not installed straight, bringing out my OCD. The shower door in our bedroom was installed backwards, making it impossible to turn on and adjust the water without getting in and getting wet. And the carpenter ants were out in full force. The first morning, I was out on the deck, taking in the sunrise and leaned on the railing, only to feel sharp little nips and realize I'd picked up a few critters intent on biting me. Those suckers hurt!

All in all it was a great but quick trip and we would definitely stay at this cabin again. A+.

A Peaceful Haven was one of the best laid out cabins that I've rented. We enjoyed having 3 separate bedrooms with their own bathrooms (plus 2 other half baths). The game room was lots of fun & my grandkids had a great time. My husband & I were celebrating our 58th wedding anniversary. Our favorite spots were the deck with comfortable rockers & the bed swing (& the hot tub on lower deck). This is the first cabin I've rented that had adequate lighting, so thank you!

I had read the reviews prior to renting & knew that the driveway was tricky getting up & down without dragging. I also read about the sulfur smelling water which is a negative. However, we took our own water for drinking & had a wonderful time regardless of the water problem.

We really loved the cabin & made precious memories with the two grandkids.

This cabin is nice & spacious!!! Be careful booking if you have a car that is low to the ground because the driveway is very steep so when you go from the road to the driveway you will scrap bad in a car.

The cabin is lovely, updated, and nicely decorated. Only a few things to note...the water has a harsh sulfur smell but leave it running for a bit and you're good - but don't drink it, LOL. The listing notes decorated for Christmas - it is not - at all.
The outdoor fireplace area is really nice! Enjoyed time in that space.

Overall, really great place to stay. One item that may need to be noted on the description or when the check-in details are sent to the customer is just about the driveway and how steep it is. We had 2 vehicles that were raised so they had no issues getting in and out, however, one of our vehicles was a van and it struggled to get up the driveway without bottoming out. We figured out a way to get it down and out without any damage.

Couple other items to note: the water smelled very much like sulfur. I am not sure if this was due to the property not being used in some time or if that's just the way the water smells in that area, but just an item of note since it took us a bit off-guard. Secondly, the patio outside with the separate fireplace could have used some cleaning (excessive amount of spider webs with visible spiders and just leaves and such inside). Lastly, the bedroom comforters were super, super thin. We had to pull the quilts off of the bunk beds downstairs (thankfully no one was sleeping in them) to use in addition to the sheets (quite literally, that is all that was on the beds) that were on the beds. The cold water knob in the bedroom to the back left when you walk into the house was broken, as well.

We didn't spend a ton of time relaxing at the cabin, but we did enjoy our time. The views were beautiful and the area was very nice.

The property is just as they portray. Really pretty decor. Very clean. Very peaceful location but still close to Pigeon Forge. Only took us about 15 minutes to the parkway. The hot tub was even clean, which is rare in a vacation rental. The kitchen was well stocked with all the necessary gadgets and cookware. Huge tv's all through the house. Loved the half baths on each floor.
Only two minor things to note...The driveway is a little steep coming off the main road. It's not a big deal in a truck or SUV, but someone with a car might have difficulty with bottoming out where the road meets the driveway. And there is a Sulphur/rotten egg smell to the water. Seems like the more you use the water, the less the smell is there. By no means does it ruin the experience... we used bottled water for coffee and cooking. Better to know before you book so you can decide for yourself but was just a minor issue for us.

This cabin was great, and we had a wonderful time. My only suggestion would be to have the cabin detailed cleaned under the furniture as it was filthy., the downstairs bathroom toilet is loose, and blinds should be added to the sliding glass door downstairs.

We had a great trip and plan to return in the future. The only negative things I would comment on is that the water smells like rotten eggs. I'm sure it's the source of the water, and not sure if anything could be done about the odor. Also the hot tub is not maintained, and again water source is probably the cause, but looks nothing like the picture on the website.
The process to make reservations, check in, and check out were easy and simple.
I would use cabins USA again in the future.
